<h2>Chris Tan's Double Gameweek 7 fixture analysis</h2>
<p>Last week was all about Newcastle and we called it in this article, although I wasn’t expecting eight goals!</p>
<p>It’s getting increasingly more difficult to rise up the ranks this season and it grows ever more important to jump on the right assets at the right time.</p>
<p>Who should we be targeting this week and are there any double gameweek players worth bringing in?</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Double Gameweek 7: Clean sheet and goalscoring odds</strong></h2>
<p>Manchester City, Newcastle, Arsenal and West Ham are the likeliest to score two or more goals, according to the odds.</p>
<p>Newcastle, Everton and City lead the way for chances of a clean sheet - followed by West Ham and Manchester United.</p>

<h2><strong>FPL Double Gameweek 7 fixtures analysed</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Aston Villa v Brighton</strong></h3>
<p>Villa have started the season well and are extremely difficult to beat at home.</p>
<p>Brighton are suffering from a few injury blows but their system is so good that replacements appear able to slot in seamlessly and there’s not much drop off in performance.</p>
<p>Villa did the double over Brighton last season - winning 2-1 and 1-2. <strong>Ollie Watkins (£7.9m)</strong> scored at home.</p>
<p>Both sides are in an intense-volume period. They both play in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday then have two days to recover for this game, with a European game on the Thursday and another Premier League game that weekend.</p>
<p><strong>Additional factors to consider</strong></p>
<p>Villa’s attacking stats are decent, however Brighton’s are elite and they’ve demonstrated it over a sustained period now.</p>
<p>Defensively, Brighton’s stats appear slightly better than Villa’s but I think that’s skewed by fixture difficulty and I would place Villa ahead of Brighton for this aspect, especially at home.</p>
<p>This is evidenced by the fact Villa have two clean sheets to Brighton’s none.</p>
<p>Brighton’s left is their weakness from a defensive perspective, as they tend to overload their attack there which can leave space behind. This is somewhere <strong>Matty Cash (£4.7m)</strong> could ghost in.</p>
<p>For a good defensive side, Villa allow a lot of big chances (third worst). <strong>Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m)</strong> and <strong>Evan Ferguson (£6.0m)</strong> lead Brighton for big chances.</p>
<p><strong>Predicted outcome</strong></p>
<p>As good as Villa are at home, I don’t think they’ll be able to shut Brighton out. I can see this being a 2-2 or a narrow win for Villa.</p>

<h3><strong>Bournemouth v Arsenal</strong></h3>
<p>It’s tricky taking too much away from a derby but I felt Tottenham Hotspur slightly edged the game against Arsenal.</p>
<p>Overall, the Gunners have started the season well without really clicking. The more the season progresses the better they’ll get.</p>
<p>Bournemouth are yet to see the outcomes of their new manager’s approach. They are easier on the eye and offer reasonable counter-attacking threat but they need results.</p>
<p>Arsenal scored three in both games last season, winning 3-2 and 0-3. <strong>Martin Odegaard (£8.5m)</strong> braced away from home.</p>
<p>Arsenal are in an intense-volume period. They play in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday then have two days to recover for this game, with an away European game on the Tuesday and another Premier League game that weekend.</p>
<p>Bournemouth also have a cup game but that’s it and they’re the home team, which gives them a slight advantage in terms of recovery and fatigue.</p>
<p><strong>Additional factors to consider</strong></p>
<p>Arsenal’s attacking stats back up my perception detailed above. They’re solid without being especially good. Defensively, their measured, controlled approach is clearly working, as only Manchester City have a lower xGC.</p>
<p>Bournemouth on the other hand rank fifth worst and they’re fortunate to have not conceded more based on their xGC.</p>
<p>Only one team has conceded more shots in the box than Bournemouth. They’re third worst for defending set-pieces and headed attempts. They’ve also conceded the third most shots in the league from their left.</p>
<p>So who’s likely to benefit from the above? The main man <strong>Bukayo Saka (£8.7m)</strong>, who has only blanked once this season. He leads the team for shots in the box/crosses, he takes the corners and he’s positioned on the right to exploit Bournemouth’s zonal weakness.</p>
<p><strong>Predicted outcome</strong></p>
<p>This should be a comfortable win for Arsenal.</p>
