FPL Gameweek 9 Recap
The top three won again, extremely impressively and they extend their lead over the chasing pack. West Ham look to be the best of the rest, with Arsenal and Leicester showing signs of form.
Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) is just on fire. He’s got double the points of the second highest scoring midfielder and almost double of the second highest scoring player in the game.
Manchester United away is normally a tough fixture and Liverpool obliterated them (mainly because Ole changed their counter-attacking style to try and press, which is something they never do).
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.0) is the only other premium that seems to be on form at the moment, although his penalty miss cost him dearly.
Who to Target
I think Chelsea made it clear who the whipping boys in the league are. Manchester United and Aston Villa’s defending is all over the place too.
Captaincy: how Have we Done to Date?
The late injury to Romelu Lukaku (£11.5m) meant that Salah (£12.9m) defaulted to first pick, if only I’d gone the same way! It’s becoming almost impossible to select anyone else.
It was only a matter of time before Martinez (£5.5m) showed his face and this haul was despite conceding three goals. Reece James (£5.5m) once again demonstrated how explosive he can be when he starts.

FPL Gameweek 10 Captain Twitter Poll
Who do my Twitter followers think is the best FPL Gameweek 10 captain?
Salah (£12.9m) has only recorded two goals and one assist at home against Brighton, which is unusual for him, as he’s usually better at home. Either way, he has a great record against them.
There’s not much to read into Ben Chillwell’s (£5.8m) record, but a clean sheet wouldn’t be a surprise and he’s on a great goal scoring run.
Joao Cancelo (£6.3m) is also likely to get a clean sheet, but the attacking returns are very sporadic.
I added the Spurs players more for banter after United’s horror show defending. Harry Kane (£12.1m) doesn’t have a great record against United with only one goal scored at home, however last season he picked up two goals and an assist away. Similarly, Heung-min Son (£10.2m) has a poor record, but all his returns came against United last season, which is the most relevant considering both sides are still fairly similar.
