<h2>Who are the best budget forwards in the game?</h2>
<p>FPL managers feel spoilt for choice right now when it comes to the budget forwards, with plenty of options to consider at £6.5m or under.</p>
<p>Top of the pile has to be Nottingham Forest's <strong>Chris Wood (£6.4m</strong><strong>)</strong>, who is second to <strong>Erling Haaland (£15.4m)</strong> for fantasy points so far this season, having produced seven goals in nine appearances.</p>
<p>Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo was coy on his availability for West Ham at the weekend after picking up a slight knock in the closing stages of the 3-1 win against Leicester City last time out.</p>
<p>I'd still look to invest in him this week ahead of a home game against West Ham. He ranks fourth for big chances on goal this season (10) and it looks likely that he's also first choice on penalties.</p>

<p>Many managers are now considering bringing in a second or third budget forward into their teams and it's difficult to argue with that strategy on current form, with the 3-4-3 formation proving trendy once again.</p>
<p>I'd actually go with <strong>Yoane Wissa (£6.0m) </strong>next, with the Brentford striker producing six goal involvements in five appearances in this campaign.</p>
<p>The motivation for buying Wissa is that Brentford are one of the form teams in the league, scoring 11 goals in their last four games, and they have attractive upcoming fixtures.</p>
<p>Teammate <strong>Bryan Mbeumo (£7.7m)</strong> is becoming a template player, with only Haaland, <strong>Cole Palmer (£11.0m)</strong> and <strong>Mohamed Salah (£12.7m)</strong> in more teams.</p>
<p>Mbeumo isn't widely considered a captaincy option, and so to benefit from any Brentford goal hauls, having Wissa in your team too is a great route to additional fantasy returns.</p>

<p>Elsewhere, Wolves striker <strong>Matheus Cunha (£6.5m) </strong>should be considered a key option, especially when you consider his tally of four goals in tough opening fixtures.</p>
<p>His side now have the best upcoming fixtures in the next four gameweeks, including three home games, and that favourable schedule extends to the next eight gameweeks.</p>
<p>We know that Cunha has the pedigree to succeed, having produced 19 goal involvements in 29 appearances last season, plus it's thought that he is on penalties too.</p>
<p>This is why I'd prefer him to Fulham striker <strong>Raul Jimenez (£5.7m)</strong> despite five goal involvements in six starts this season.</p>

<h2>Ultra member's question: Haaland or no Haaland?</h2>
<p>Speaking of forwards, the wealth of budget forward options in the game has got managers thinking about a potential move away from the premium Haaland.</p>
<p>He's not currently justifying his extreme price tag, with just one goal in the last four gameweeks.</p>
<p>Add into the mix the form of premium midfielders Salah, Palmer and <strong>Bukayo Saka (£10.0m)</strong>, there's a compelling case to sell.</p>
