FPL GW18 predicted lineups and team news from all Premier League clubs from injury guru Ben Dinnery ahead of the upcoming Gameweek. They will be regularly updated throughout and following the press conferences.

Arsenal

Predicted lineup

Press Conference

  • Gabriel Martinelli was injured while warming-up on Saturday evening and Mikel Arteta is waiting on the results of further tests to determine the extent of his ankle injury. "We didn't look after the game because he was in a lot of pain, but yesterday he tested it a little bit better. We have a scan today so let's hope it's not as serious. We will know more tomorrow, certainly."
  • Thomas Partey is likely to return to the matchday squad after rejoining the group. "He has been in full training for the last four or five days; he's completely asymptomatic. It would [have been] a little bit rushed to try and play him against Newcastle but I think he will be ready for Thursday."
  • Gabriel is working outside following a period of self-isolation, but Thursday may come too soon in terms of his sharpness. The Gunners won four-nil in the Premier League last time out, and Arteta will keep changes to a minimum. "He tested positive and had very mild symptoms, so he's missed a few weeks of training because he had to be isolated. It's better now, and we expect him to be training with us in the next couple of days and then make an assessment on whether we can have him or not on Thursday."

Pending Evaluation

  • Thomas Partey (thigh) - Started to train outside and will be monitored daily.
  • Gabriel dos Santos Magalhaes - Tested positive for COVID-19 meaning he will miss the game on Saturday.

Ruled Out

  • Gabriel Martinelli (ankle) - Awaiting scan results.

Brighton and Hove Albion

Predicted lineup

Press Conference

Adam Lallana and Aaron Connolly are ruled out of the trip to Man City. The duo joins Danny Welbeck and Tariq Lamptey in the treatment room with the Seagulls potentially missing up to nine players. Lamptey suffered a setback in training last week and may not return this month while Welbeck's knee injury is worse than first feared. Yves Bissouma must serve a one-match ban after collecting his fifth caution during the 3-3 draw with Wolves. Alireza Jahanbakhsh needs to be assessed after picking up a knock in the FA Cup, but on a brighter note, Steven Alzate is pencilled in for a possible return following an illness. Polish midfielder Jakub Moder had his first 'light' session on Monday, and the 21-year-old is settling in. "He has had a couple of weeks not playing any football. We need to get him up to speed."

Pending Evaluation

  • Steven Alzate (illness) - In line for a return after missing the previous two matches.
  • Alireza Jahanbakhsh (ankle) - Won't be fit to start but the winger could make the bench.

Ruled Out

  • Jose Izquierdo (thigh) - Suffered a muscle injury while building fitness with the under-23s. No timeline, given the players' history.
  • Florin Andone (ACL) - No timeframe. Recently stepped up his recovery on the training pitches.
  • Tariq Lamptey (hamstring) - Recurrence of a recent problem which will set the defender back at least another two weeks.
  • Danny Welbeck (knee) - The problem is worst than initially feared. No timeframe.
  • Adam Lallana (illness) - Tuesday night comes too soon.
  • Aaron Connolly (thigh) - The full extent is not currently known, but Graham Potter believes it could be a "couple of weeks."

  • Yves Bissouma - Must serve a one-match ban in GW18.

Burnley

Predicted lineup

Press Conference

Sean Dyche reveals the Clarets have "four Covid situations" ahead of the game with United. "We're hopeful the lads that missed [out] on the weekend could be around it. They have been double tested so; hopefully, we will have people available. The only issue is that we will have players coming out of a ten-day lockdown period and then gong straight into games." While the Burnley boss failed to name individuals, he provided a breakdown of those at risk of missing out. "Kevin Long, we have lost him to an ankle injury. Nick Pope hurt his ankle on Friday, so we had to be careful with him," he said during Mondays' press conference. Charlie Taylor, Jimmy Dunne, Jay Rodriguez and Dwight McNeil will all be a late call while the status of Josh Brownhill, Ashley Westwood, and Bailey Peacock-Farrell is unclear.

Pending Evaluation

  • Dwight McNeil (groin) - One of those flagged by Sean Dyche as a potential returner. If he does miss out, then he has a "very strong" chance of playing against West Ham.
  • Jay Rodriguez (knee) - One of those flagged by Sean Dyche as a potential returner. If he does miss out, then he has a "very strong" chance of playing against West Ham.
  • Jimmy Dunne (knock) - One of those flagged by Sean Dyche as a potential returner. If he does miss out, then he has a "very strong" chance of playing against West Ham.
  • Charlie Taylor (hamstring) - One of those flagged by Sean Dyche as a potential returner. If he does miss out, then he has a "very strong" chance of playing against West Ham.
  • Nick Pope (ankle) - Rolled his ankle in training last Friday. Rested as a precaution on the FA Cup.
  • Ashley Westwood (undisclosed) - Maybe one of those players Sean Dyche was talking about when he revealed the Club was managing four COVID-related issues.
  • Josh Brownhill (undisclosed) - Maybe one of those players Sean Dyche was talking about when he revealed the Club was managing four COVID-related issues.
  • Bailey Peacock-Farrell (undisclosed) - Maybe one of those players Sean Dyche was talking about when he revealed the Club was managing four COVID-related issues.

Ruled Out

  • Kevin Long (ankle) - Not one of the five players identified by Sean Dyche as a potential returner.

Everton

Predicted lineup

Press Conference

  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin has suffered a hamstring injury and will not be available. Carlo Ancelotti is unsure when the striker will return, although he feels he can recover quickly. "He had a little problem during the week before West Ham. He was not able to judge himself 100 per cent. He played the game, so it's not a really important injury, but we want to keep him safe and when he comes back to be 100 per cent."
  • Richarlison faces a late fitness. "We have to wait until training [Monday] to make a decision."
  • Jordan Pickford is okay, and Allan should be back in contention later this month. "I think he can return in around 10-15 days."
  • And following his recent injury issues, James Rodriguez benefitted from an extended run out in the FA Cup. "He has to train properly, as he trained the last week and he has to play. He's used to keeping a good condition. The fact he played 99 minutes [vs Rotherham] helped him to have a better condition for the future."

Pending Evaluation

  • Richarlison (undisclosed) - The Brazilian will be assessed in training on Monday afternoon after missing out in the FA Cup.

Ruled Out

  • Jean-Philippe Gbamin (Achilles) - Final phase of his recovery. Ancelotti is hopeful of a return in early 2021.
  • Fabian Delph (hamstring) - Currently sidelined with no timeline on a return.
  • Allan (hamstring) - The Brazilian midfielder is targeting a return by the end of January.
