Gameweek 6 Review
Gameweek 6 was one of those Gameweeks where most of the popular players blanked and the average score was low. I ended up getting 49 points which I was actually quite pleased with despite a red arrow from 149k to 184k. I didn't own Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Harry Kane who are really highly owned so it could have been a lot worse for me. Danny Ings and Son kept my score respectable with decent hauls whilst Ayling and McCarthy chipped in with clean sheets which also helped. I feel quite fortunate this week as my only goal return was Son’s.

Gameweek 7 Thoughts and Transfers
So last week I ended up saving my free transfer and deciding against getting Kane in for Werner. I wanted to give myself a bit of time and wanted the flexibility of maybe removing Danny Ings for Kane this week but I don’t think I am going to do that as he is too consistent. This week I have two free transfers and a lot depends on what the Friday press conferences have to say but I think my decision comes down to this:
- Charlie Taylor >> Max Kilman and save the other transfer.
- Timo Werner >> Harry Kane and save the other transfer.
I really like my team for this week but I am a bit wary of going without Kane. His next two are great but after that not so much and Werner’s fixture pick up now. My only gripe is that Chelsea don’t seem to be clicking just yet the way they should be. The midweek result in the Champions League was comforting as a Werner owner but how much can we actually read into that game with the opposition they faced. Looking at the FIxture Ticker below for the next five Chelsea come out on top so it’s the old fixtures vs form debate I will have to battle.

My Captain for Gameweek 7
Seeing as I don’t have Harry Kane (yet) I think my captain choice is quite simple this week. You guessed it... Mohamed Salah. Son is also a contender but Mohamed is just too consistent and has a home game, on penalties and nicely rested as he only came on as a substiture in the Champions League fixture on Tuesday against Midtjylland. He also comes out top in our Points Prediction Tool above the Spurs forward.
There are rumours of a possible injury to Salah though as we saw video footage of him limping in the tunnel after the game so I will await news in Liverpool’s press conference. Needless to say, if he is injured then that will throw all my plans up into the air.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
As a fellow Werner owner, I’ve been waiting for ages too – I share your (lack of) points pain! I was so close to getting rid him for Bielsa’s point of the spear attacking machine Patrick Bamford but I’m going to hold the German! He looks too good a player to not do well!
The only thing that scares me about Timo is the possibility of being rotated with Tammy in ‘easy games’ which would just send me into a flood of tears and a probably rage transfer to the aforementioned violin player!
I think I am most likely going to do Werner to Kane. Chance of a benching acc to Lampard’s comment so seems a good time to bring in Harry.
