Types of Fantasy Football Managers
For a bit of fun, let’s look at the different types of fantasy managers when it comes to picking team names. I can bet some of you will fall under these categories and you most certainly will know a few who do;
The Loyalist – This manager will have the same team name every season no matter what. It means something to them and no amount of potential brownie points among friends or work colleagues will change that.
The Joker – This manager without fail will have the funniest fantasy football team name every season and will get recognition and accolades amongst his peers. His work colleagues/friends/mini-league rivals eagerly await his entry into the league so they can see what wizardry he has come up with. That will be his only achievement though as he won’t log in again after Gameweek 1.
The Chancer – He will have the crudest fantasy team name each season without fail. Clearly inappropriate and against FPL rules but he never gets caught and exceeds himself every season with shocker after shocker.
The Special One – For this type of manager, his fantasy football team name is very important, even more important than winning his league. He needs to have something original and quirky that nobody else will have thought of. He will dedicate hours analysing the transfer market looking up new players bought into the league to think of something special which will leave his mates in awe.
The Worst One – This is the guy who puts an asterisk (or multiple) * or a trophy emoji next to his team name to signify how many times he has won said mini-league. He lets everyone know at least a couple of times a week that he is the reigning champion. Yep nobody likes him.
That Guy – And finally there is always that one manager in every league who uses the highly funny and original ‘Inter yer Nan’ as their team name. The less said about this guy the better!
