Gameweek 36+ Review
Just two more gameweeks to go in this very strange and fragmented season. Its going to be a fairly brief article this week - these quick turnarounds are a nightmare! Its also been a bit of a nightmare of a gameweek for me, as my season seems to be limping towards the finish line! A lacklustre score of 34 points which gives me a third consecutive red arrow from 65k to 90k overall rank. A captain fail with Sterling whilst the player I sold for him (Mané) almost inevitably scored himself. It's almost certainly going to end up being the worst rank of my long FPL career in what has been a challenging season.

In 10 seasons, Matthew has finished top 500 three times, top 10k eight times and never finished lower than 15,535 (in his first season). Hi Matthew, great article and always and big thanks as it is such a quick turnaround between weeks. It is so difficult this week for picks but I was wondering, if you had the money, would you still back Wood or would you have preferred Ings? A differential I was considering in midfield was stanislas. Southampton look tired and Bournemouth in this derby may just do something. Finally, do you think D.Silva will play against Watford?
Don’t fancy Foster to Pope for a hit? Burnley defenders likely to be highly owned this week and Foster looking more like to get a 0 than a 2 pointer. Worth the hit?
Your articles this year have been a great insight into the thought processes that go into making decisions week-by-week. Thank you for taking the time to churn these out, especially with all the gws piling up.
One question I had: would you start Foden or Pulisic this gw?
East or West Matthew us the best ????
You’ll bounce back next season surely mate, i know it????
I would start Puli ahead of Greenwood!
Great move but at your OR I think you need to consider being a bit more aggressive with your captaincy pick. That pick won’t get you any real traction up the rankings at all given the EO.
