Last updated

This policy explains how Fantasy Football Hub, operated by Fantasy Football Hub Ltd (email: [email protected]), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website (fantasyfootballhub.co.uk) and our mobile app (together, the "Service").

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post the updated version here.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following information:

  • Name and email address (provided during account registration)
  • Fantasy Premier League team ID and related team data (where you link your FPL account)
  • Device and browser information
  • Usage and interaction data (via analytics tools)
  • Cookies, advertising identifiers, and similar online identifiers
  • Limited payment metadata (processed by our payment provider)

We collect this when you register, use the Service, make a purchase, or through the cookies and analytics tools described in Section 8. If you do not provide the information needed to create an account, manage a subscription, or deliver the Service, we may not be able to provide some or all of it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes, with the UK GDPR lawful basis for each:

  • Create and manage your account, deliver core functionality, and provide support: contract
  • Process payments and subscriptions: contract and legal obligation
  • Generate AI-powered predictions and recommendations: contract
  • Keep the Service secure and prevent fraud: legitimate interests
  • Monitor usage and improve performance (analytics): consent for the cookies and similar technologies involved (Section 8); legitimate interests for the resulting analysis
  • Measure marketing campaigns and build advertising audiences: consent (Section 8)
  • Send service updates: contract or legitimate interests
  • Send marketing emails: consent, or soft opt-in where permitted, with unsubscribe options in every email
  • Keep transaction and tax records: legal obligation

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time (Section 7). We do not use your personal information for other purposes without your consent, unless required by law.

3. AI and Machine Learning Processing

We use artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to analyse football match data, player statistics, and team data to generate predictions and recommendations, such as projected points and transfer suggestions. The AI does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users.

Data used by our AI includes publicly available football statistics, match data, and player performance records. Your personal data (such as your name or email address) is not used to train our AI models.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to run the Service. We share data with the following categories of provider:

  • Payment processing (billing and managing subscriptions): billing info, transaction records
  • Email, messaging, and communications (service and marketing emails, push and in-app messages): email address, device identifiers, engagement data
  • Analytics and session recording (understanding and improving usage): IP address, device info, browsing behaviour
  • Hosting, storage, and infrastructure (running and storing the Service): account and usage data, IP address
  • Cookie consent management (recording your cookie preferences): consent preferences
  • Performance monitoring (keeping the Service reliable and secure): IP address
  • Advertising measurement (measuring whether our marketing campaigns work and, with your consent, building advertising audiences): IP address, device info, identifiers, pages visited

These providers act on our instructions under contract and only for the purposes above, except advertising platforms, which may act as independent controllers for their own processing under their own privacy policies. The specific analytics, advertising, and session-recording tools we use, including their provider, purpose, and duration, are listed in our Cookie Policy and Cookie Settings; a full list of our providers is available on request at [email protected].

5. Data Transfers and Storage

Your data may be processed or stored in the UK, EU, or the United States, depending on where our servers or third-party services are located. Where we use the UK-US Data Bridge, we do so only for recipients certified under the UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework; otherwise we use appropriate safeguards such as the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum.

  • Transaction records: up to 7 years for tax, accounting, and legal purposes
  • Analytics data: 26 months, then anonymised

Anonymous or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data
  • Restrict how we process your data
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Object to direct marketing at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]; we respond within one month. If you have a concern, you can complain to us first, and you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies (including tags, pixels, and scripts) on the website:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the Service to function (e.g. authentication, security, remembering your consent choices). Always active.
  • Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the Service, including pages visited, time on site, and navigation paths.
  • Marketing: used with our advertising platforms to measure campaigns and, where enabled, build advertising audiences.

You can accept or reject analytics and marketing technologies through the cookie banner on your first visit, and change your choice at any time via Cookie Settings on the website. We ask you to renew your cookie consent at least every 13 months.

We also use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count page visits; these store nothing on your device and cannot identify you.

Our analytics include session recording, which captures how you interact with pages (mouse movement, scrolling, clicks, and typing, with form fields, passwords, and payment details masked).

The mobile app does not use cookies. It uses analytics to understand how the app is used.

9. Age Restriction

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to delete their data and close their account.

10. Security Measures

We use appropriate security measures including encryption, access controls, and regular audits to protect your personal information. No method is 100% secure.
