Well last week was eventful - and that’s not just the football results and fantasy points. The news of Kevin de Bruyne’s injury lay off and then Jamie Vardy’s hernia operation stunned many. With just four rounds of games to go until the second overhaul it’s caused some unexpected chaos amongst Sky managers, many of which were just hoping to coast to the overhaul with what they had. Even Mohamed Salah’s benching at home to Burnley caused mayhem as many weren’t prepared to start the evening with a benched captain. 3,302 managers brought in Sadio Mane, 974 opted for Thiago, 889 drafted in Andrew Robertson, 339 for Fabinho, 254 plumped for Matip whilst 212 managers each went for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson. Many made an instant move off De Bruyne who was transferred out of 4,318 on Thursday night. I sat on my hands and stuck with Salah who as a two point captain matched Matip, so I’ll take that with a transfer saved.

The problem when De Bruyne was ruled out is that some may have been locked into a 5-3-2 so had to swap him out for another midfielder. You could now even have a bit of a mini overhaul and make another move to restructure your team using the De Bruyne and Vardy money to spread about your team potentially making an upgrade to a player who’s not been cutting it. But again, with just four rounds of games until the overhaul I wouldn’t advise making too many moves.
If you do still own Vardy and De Bruyne here are some possible replacements to consider:
