Sky Fantasy Football - The Weekly Digest

Well that was a bit more like it. After an underwhelming opening first weekend, Gameweek 2 was a lot better as I went from 81,499th on 68 points to 5,911th with a 132 point week.

The main source of my points was from Harry Kane as captain on Sunday. His four assists and goal resulting in 19 points (38 as captain) meant that it didn’t matter too much that Heung-Min Son scored four goals and earned 28 points. Son was also lowly owed in just 5% of teams which meant not owning him wasn’t a disaster. The same can be said for Dominic Calvert-Lewin who was in just over 3% of teams on Saturday (3.17%).

Kevin de Bruyne was the icing on the cake on Monday evening as his 44 points as captain catapulted my side well into the top 10,000. I was surprised to see his ownership only went up from 47-49% but he is the highest owned player in the game.

Some massive scores this week. Heung-Min Son unsurprisingly leads the way with his four goal haul. Despite only scoring once, the four assists meant Harry Kane was only nine points behind the South Korean. Dominic Calvert-Lewin continued his good start with a hattrick against West Brom, and may well be an option for your overhaul team.

Kevin De Bruyne was the main man on Monday night with a full house of points from passes, tackles and shots bonus combined with a goal, assist and man of the match award. 22 points and 44 for those that captained the Belgian maestro.

Seasonal Bonus

So again it’s only two weeks worth of data but I wanted to see what players had hit Tier Two for passing and tackling twice. It’s a bit skewed still as Manchester City have only played once and I fully expect many of their players to feature in the passing list. Only two players have hit the same bonus twice.
