This week saw the highest points scoring week in Sky so far this season, totaling 988 points.  This was despite the whole of the Watford team having a combined score of minus 2!!!

Man of the match

The table below are the Sky man of the matches:

Ibe become the first player of the season to come off the bench and be awarded the man of the match following his two assists to give Bournemouth a 2-1 win. Aguero scores the first hattrick of the season to register the highest individual weekly score by a player.

The bonuses

The distribution of bonuses by team this week is:

Bournemouth picking up 5 passing awards means they break into the top four, and this takes them to joint 7th for the season.

There were 118 bonus points distributed this week, around 50% higher than the previous week’s 84.  The points were dominated by midfielders based on the number of appearances.

Bonus by player

The table of top players by different points and awards is:

Seeing H Arter near the top of the bonus points table, is he somebody to consider in the future?  Below is a scatter-plot of all midfielders who have played at least 3 games, giving average points per game by value, that can be generate from the toolkit.

H Arter is the big red spot. This means that even though he scores well on bonus points he’s picking up little elsewhere (apart from 2 yellows).  This could be partly explained by Bournemouth’s low goal count.  Digging deeper I note that Arter has not yet had a shot on target and only one key pass.  So presently, is not somebody I will be keeping a close eye on.

My teams

My plan was to keep transfers to a minimum after the overhaul.  However, in my second team with Pogba being injured, this forced a transfer.  I ended up going for Fabregas, turning down options such as Eriksen.  I know that Fabregas isn’t a certain starter, but I needed to gamble slightly, I could wait until team sheets where announced so 100% of a game this week, it frees up cash for flexibility later, and finally would give me cover for the Chelsea v Watford game.

Hope you all had good weeks and leave your best players in the comments below.
