Round up of the press conferences from injury guru <a href="https://twitter.com/BenDinnery">Ben Dinnery</a> ahead of FPL Opening Weekend. All the latest team news for fantasy football managers to digest before making those all-important transfers. 
Arsenal 
David Luiz will miss this weekends&#8217; game due to neck spasm, and Mikel Arteta could turn to Rob Holding to fill the void with Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Calum Chambers (ACL knee) and Sokratis Papastathopoulos (calf) all nursing injuries. New signing Gabriel has trained &#8220;very well&#8221; and could provide another option along with the returning William Saliba, who spent last season on loan at Saint-Etienne. Emile Smith Rowe (shoulder) was left wearing a protective sling following an awkward fall in training while Pablo Mari (ankle) is aiming to return to full training by the end of September. Gabriel Martinelli (knee) is hoping to be playing again in early 2021.
Brighton and Hove Albion 
Graham Potter confirms the Seagulls are close to full strength ahead of Monday nights&#8217; game against Chelsea. &#8220;Some have played more than others with their countries, so we still need to do some assessments. But everyone is training today, that&#8217;s good for us.&#8221; Davy Propper has recovered from a minor Achilles problem, but he may not be risked due to a lack of fitness, and while Jose Izquierdo is taking part in &#8220;some&#8221; of the sessions, the winger will not be considered after 17 months out. The Brighton boss reveals there are no issues with Ben White who was the subject of several bids from Leeds United following his successful loan spell at Elland Road. &#8220;There was no disappointment from Ben at any stage. There was a lot of noise, but he got on with his job really well. It&#8217;s his first season in the Premier League, and we want to help him as well as we can.&#8221;
Chelsea 
Frank Lampard will be without a trio of new signings as Chelsea head to the south coast in the opener. Hakim Ziyech suffered a &#8220;little twist&#8221; in his knee at the Amex last month, and he may not return until game week three or four. Ben Chilwell (plantar fasciitis) is improving, but after missing the previous eight weeks, the full-back needs to improve his fitness and Monday comes too soon. Thiago Silva will join the group for the first time this weekend and won&#8217;t be considered just yet. However, there was better news regarding Christian Pulisic and Cesar Azpilicueta who both come into contention after their successful integration into full training. Billy Gilmour (knee) remains out long-term and Mateo Kovacic will serve a one-match ban following his dismissal in the FA Cup final.
Crystal Palace 
Roy Hodgson confirms Eberechi Eze is available for selection &#8220;in theory&#8221; after limping off with a groin problem two weeks ago. However, the summer signing has only played 45 minutes for Palace since arriving &#8220;so still isn&#8217;t quite match fit.&#8221; Mamadou Sakho had his first session on Friday, and the Frenchman is targeting a quick return to action. Connor Wickham and Christian Benteke remain out &#8220;as well as defenders (Gary Cahill / Patrick van Aanholt / James Tomkins / Nathan Ferguson)&#8221; although the Eagles could welcome one or two back this month.
Everton 
Mason Holgate (toe) has been ruled out of Sundays&#8217; game; fortunately, it looks as though Yerry Mina will be fit and the Colombian could be paired alongside Michael Keane. Carlo Ancelotti reveals Fabian Delph is closing in on a return to full training with the medical team due to decide on Friday. Cenk Tosun and Jean-Philippe Gbamin remain long-term absentees. Andre Gomes, who picked up a slight knock while on international duty, is fit and available while new signing James Rodriguez is determined to &#8220;achieve big things&#8221; having signed from Real Madrid. Jonjoe Kenny will not be shipped out with the defender remaining at Goodison to compete with Seamus Coleman at right-back.
Fulham
Scott Parker should have a full squad at his disposal for the arrival of Arsenal in the early kick-off. Jean Michael Seri and Andre Zambo Anguissa, who return following season-long loan spells at Galatasaray and Villareal respectively, will be given every opportunity to &#8220;stake a claim in this team&#8221;. However, fitness might be an issue for this game. Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola arrives from Paris Saint-Germain, and the Frenchman will be vying for the Number One jersey with Marek Rodak after Marcus Bettinelli joined Championship outfit Middlesbrough.
Leeds United
Marcelo Bielsa plans to &#8220;play the same way&#8221; and doesn&#8217;t feel the absence of centre-back Ben White will cause much of an issue. New signing Robin Koch is reported to be in &#8220;very good physical condition&#8221; and could slot straight into the backline if required. Club record acquisition – Rodrigo – is also ready and Bielsa says the Spaniard will add a cutting edge to the Leeds attack: &#8220;He&#8217;s a very known player, he has an extensive track record. He&#8217;s also a starter for an important nation in Europe. That defines him as a player.&#8221; Adam Forshaw, absent since September 2019 due to a persistent hip problem, is the only player currently receiving treatment.
Leicester City 
James Maddison (hip) and Christian Fuchs (groin) have trained this week, but given that neither has featured during pre-season, then it makes sense that a place on the bench is most likely. Daniel Amartey is back; however, an absence of almost two-years means Brendan Rodgers will not be rushing the midfielder back into competitive action. Wes Morgan rejoined the training group, and if the veteran does not suffer a reaction, then he could plug the gap vacated by Jonny Evans, who begins a three-match ban. Ricardo Pereira is still a &#8220;number of weeks&#8221; away, and Filip Benkovic is expected to go out on loan once he has recovered: &#8220;He&#8217;s injured at the moment [hip], so he&#8217;s unavailable, but he could be one that goes out to try and get more game time.&#8221;
Liverpool 
Jordan Henderson is best placed of those returning from injury to make Saturdays&#8217; squad. The skipper missed the backend of 2019/20, but he has been training, and his return to the matchday squad looks &#8220;promising&#8221;. Xherdan Shaqiri and Konstantinos Tsimikas are also with the group, but with &#8220;a lot of players available&#8221; Jurgen Klopp admits not everyone will be involved. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the only player currently in the treatment room.
Newcastle United 
Steve Bruce reveals new signings Callum Wilson and Jamaal Lewis will be available and could be thrown straight in at West Ham on Saturday. Ryan Fraser looks set to miss out though as he plays catch-up with his fitness having last played competitively six months ago. Ciaran Clark (ankle) has improved over the last 3-4 days – although week one comes too soon – and Fabian Schar is still recovering from his shoulder injury. The thigh injury hampering Matty Longstaff is becoming a concern, and Matt Ritchie is rated as &#8220;touch and go&#8221; following a kick to the calf. Jonjo Shelvey (knee) should be OK, but United still have an extensive injury list with Martin Dúbravka (knee), Paul Dummett (hamstring) and Dwight Gayle all out of contention.
Sheffield United 
Chris Wilder revealed there were a couple of players rated as &#8220;touch and go&#8221; for the Wolves game, although he failed to name individuals. Lys Mousset should shake off a minor toe injury while Jack O&#8217;Connell (shoulder) was said to be &#8220;100 per cent&#8221; when the Blades boss was asked for an update last weekend. However, he has missed all the pre-season fixtures, and a place on the bench seems most likely. Sander Berge, who sustained a knee injury while on international duty (he did not feature versus Northern Ireland), could be one of those who needs to be checked. David McGoldrick has trained following a minor knock while Simon Moore is still recovering from surgery on a broken finger. Oliver Burke could be this seasons&#8217; Lundstram 2.0 with Wilder looking to utilise the £4.5m midfielder in an advanced role. &#8220;We needed some big pace at the top of the pitch, and he gives us that. He&#8217;s not played a lot of football in England down the middle, which is where he will play in our system. I wanted someone with pace and power; Oli gives us those qualities.&#8221;
Southampton 
It&#8217;s fair to say that Ralph Hasenhüttl was not happy with the scheduling of the recent internationals after Stuart Armstrong picked up a thigh injury representing Scotland. &#8220;He comes back injured after playing 80 minutes, which was definitely not perfect. That smashes a few automatisms in our game, but we have to handle this.&#8221; Thankfully, James Ward-Prowse and Danny Ings, despite receiving treatment for a head injury, returned from England duty relatively unscathed and both players are available. Ghanaian centre-back Mohammed Salisu &#8211; a £10.5m buy from Real Valladolid – is working his way up to full fitness; otherwise, Southampton should be close to full strength. Alex McCarthy has been confirmed as the Saints&#8217; Number One with Fraser Forster, for now at least, set to remain at St Mary&#8217;s.
Tottenham Hotspur 
Giovani Lo Celso and Japhet Tanganga have been missing throughout pre-season, due to hamstring and thigh injuries respectively, and we must assume that given their length of absence, that they are considered major doubts. Elsewhere, Danny Rose is surplus to requirements and could leave to join Serie A side Genoa. Harry Kane benefitted from minutes with England after his self-isolation, but the Spurs skipper still looks a yard or two off the pace. It remains to be seen whether Matt Doherty is handed his debut – the Republic of Ireland star only joined his teammates on Tuesday, and Jose Mourinho may feel Serge Aurier is better suited for this game. Harry Winks has trained following his withdrawal from the England squad.
West Bromwich Albion
Conor Townsend and Kenneth Zohore, calf and ankle injuries, missed last weekends&#8217; 0-0 draw with Brighton and their status remains unclear. New signing Callum Robinson is available after his switch from Sheffield United was completed with Oli Burke travelling in the opposite direction. Grady Diangana looks set to play a significant role for the Baggies this season while Slaven Bilic continues to scour the market as he plans to strengthen his squad further.
West Ham United 
The Hammers are boosted by the news that Tomas Soucek is cleared to return after self-isolating as a precaution. &#8220;I think the problem happened over in the Czech Republic,&#8221; David Moyes told reporters. &#8220;He&#8217;s fine; he&#8217;s been OK. I think the disappointing thing is we sent him away to play two games with the national team, and one of their staff tested positive, so that made it difficult.&#8221; There was no mention of Manuel Lanzini (thigh) who limped off during the first half of last weekends&#8217; Betway cup final, although in truth the Argentine has been on the peripheral of the XI for most of this year. Ben Johnson will be sweating on his place after he was replaced within 30 minutes vs Bournemouth – Ryan Fredericks would be the player to come in.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Nuno hinted that Sunday might come too soon for his new signings: &#8220;Give [Marcal and Vitinha] the time to integrate and understand how we play. They have to adapt to a new city and competition. It will require time.&#8221; That also includes £35m purchase, Fabio Silva, despite impressing in his first week at Molineux: &#8220;We are really, really happy with Fabio. For now, he is working really well and adapting fast. I did not expect anything else because the core of the squad is here. He has integrated well. One thing is certain for us, quality and talent – Fabio has a lot.&#8221; Adama Traore will be ready for the trip to Bramall Lane, but Jonny (ACL) will not play again this year.
