<h3><strong>Erling Haaland (£12.2m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Aston Villa (H) and Arsenal (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Erling Haaland</strong> currently sits as the highest points scorer in the game with 25 goals and three assists in 20 starts. He has the highest <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/a-simple-guide-to-opta-stats-for-fpl/">Expected Goals (xG)</a> in the league (18.37) and an xA of 6.25 (second amongst forwards).</p>
<p>Manchester City have a double gameweek in 23 as they take on Aston Villa (H) and Arsenal (a). Villa have conceded 31 goals (fifteenth) with an xGC of 33.6 (twelfth) so this is a plum fixture for the Citizens. They are also the favourites to score 2.5+ goals (55%) in this fixture.</p>
<p>Their second fixture is going to be their toughest test of the season, but I can see both sides scoring in this game so it’s a good double for City attackers.</p>
<p>City have scored the most goals so far (53) and have the highest xG in the league also (46.93).</p>
<p>Haaland will be the best option this week without a doubt, and will be the highest captained player. If you still have your triple captain left then I don’t think you will get a better time to use it.</p>
<p>He is also at 83% to score at anytime over the two games (first) according to the bookmakers.</p>

<h3><strong>Bukayo Saka (£8.3m) – Arsenal </strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Brentford (H) and Manchester City (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Bukayo Saka</strong> has seven goals and eight assists. He has an xG of 5.12 and has also created 47 chances with an xA of 4.03. He has been one of the best FPL assets this season.</p>
<p>Arsenal also double in Gameweek 23 as they welcome both Brentford and Man City to Emirates.</p>
<p>The Bees have conceded 28 goals with an xGC of 34.2 (fourteenth). This is the easiest of the two fixtures of course and the one they are likely to score the most goals in but their second fixture against City should see goals too and the Gunners have the home advantage.</p>
<p>They are the second favourites to score 2.5+ goals (40%) against Brentford according to the bookmakers.</p>
<p>They have now scored 45 goals (second) with an xG of 38.27 (fifth) and have been the best team in the league thus far.</p>
<p>Saka’s underlying numbers and output have been great this season, and he is the attacker who is likely to get the most minutes for Arsenal over this double. He is also the first choice penalty taker.</p>
<p>The England midfielder also has the joint highest Goal Involvement (33%) amongst his teammates.</p>

<h3><strong>Martin Ødegaard (£7.0m) – Arsenal </strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Brentford (H) and Manchester City (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Martin Ødegaard</strong> has had a fantastic season so far and is the second highest scoring midfielder in the game. He has eight goals and six assists with an xG of 4.4 and he has also created 41 chances with an xA of 6.36 (third overall).</p>
<p>He should also be pretty secure for minutes over the double and has the highest assist threat from the Arsenal team.</p>
<p>Ødegaard is also at a very kind price of £7.0m, and despite starting the season at £6.5m, the Norwegian is still great value.</p>
<p>The midfielder has both goal and assist threat and is clearly one of Mikel Arteta’s most trusted players.</p>
<p>Martin will play close to 180 minutes against Brentford and City and with him being on some corners and free kicks he is always going to be within a chance of attacking returns.</p>
<p>Ødegaard is at a healthy 46% to score at anytime over the two fixtures and our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool</a></strong> also has him as the third highest predicted scoring player (10.0 points) for Double Gameweek 23.</p>

<h3><strong>Riyad Mahrez (£7.7m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Aston Villa (H) and Arsenal (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Riyad Mahrez</strong> has four goals and five assists in only 10 starts. He has started six of the last seven league games and looks to be in Pep Guardiola’s good books just now. He has registered an xG of 3.55 and created 23 chances with an xA of 3.39.</p>
<p>Pep has been quite experimental with his side since the World Cup which has seen him drop Joao Cancelo from the first team and also bench <strong>Kevin De Bruyne (£12.2m)</strong> twice in the last three gameweeks.</p>
<p>Mahrez has been one of the beneficiaries of this, and has three goals and four assists since Gameweek 17.</p>
<p>Therefore I do think he has the best chance of starting both games over this double from the City midfield. <strong>Jack Grealish (£6.8m)</strong> possibly has a better or similar chance, but he is nowhere near as good an FPL asset as the Algerian in my opinion.</p>
<p>Mahrez has a much superior goal threat and a similar assist threat.</p>
<p>Also, his price of £7.7m makes him a much better value asset than De Bruyne who costs almost five million more.</p>
<p>He is at 51% to score at any time over the two fixtures and our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool</a></strong> has him as the third highest predicted scoring player (10.0 points) for Double Gameweek 23.</p>

<h3><strong>Eddie Nketiah (£6.7m) – Arsenal </strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Brentford (H) and Manchester City (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Eddie Nketiah</strong> has filled in pretty nicely for the injured <strong>Gabriel</strong> <strong>Jesus (£7.9m)</strong>. He has scored four goals since the restart (Gameweek 17) with an xG of 3.96 (fourth).</p>
<p>The forward is also nailed to start until Jesus returns, so should get very close to 180 minutes in Double Gameweek 23.</p>
<p>At a price of £6.7m he is also great value and can act as an enabler also. Jesus doesn’t look like he's going to be back anytime soon, so Nketiah's spot in the team is safe for now and he can be brought in without any worries.</p>
<p>The bookmakers have him at 58% (third) to score at anytime over the two games in the double so he is one of the best forward options for this week and one of the most likely goalscorers.</p>
