<p>World Cup Fantasy Matchday 3 begins today (November 29) &#8211; but which players have scored the most points so far and are they worth targeting for the final round of group games?</p>
<p>We count down from tenth spot to first, with some surprising inclusions so far.</p>

<h2>10. Lionel Messi ($10.5m) &#8211; 16 points</h2>
<p>The Argentina captain has scored in both of his two games so far, offering a reliable captaincy option.</p>
<p>He also added an assist against Mexico in Matchday 2, which was a must-win game for the South Americans.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict: Buy. Argentina remain in a battle for a spot in the knockout stages and La Albiceleste will be relying on their talisman to come up with the goods once again. </strong></p>

<h2>9. Jordi Alba ($6.0m) &#8211; 16 points</h2>
<p>Rotation of Spanish full-backs was a concern pre-tournament, however Barcelona left-back Alba has shone in Qatar.</p>
<p>Two assists and a clean sheet against Costa Rica in Matchday 1 got him and Spain off to a flying start, while four points were added to his tally through an assist against Germany.</p>
<p>Spain now face Japan, with qualification for the round of 16 still on the line.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict: Buy. It&#8217;s not out of the question Luis Enrique will make some changes, despite qualification not being secure, however Alba is in excellent form and managers will fancy his chances against a Japan side who disappointed against Costa Rica in Matchday 2. </strong></p>
<h2>8. Mehdi Taremi ($7.0m) &#8211; 16 points</h2>
<p>Taremi&#8217;s two goals in Matchday 1 were the only positive for Iran in their 6-2 defeat at the hands of England.</p>
<p>He scored one of his goals from the penalty spot, which is one of the pros of owning the Porto forward, who added an assist against Wales in Matchday 2.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict. Consider &#8211; but better options elsewhere. Iran have it all to play for against the USA but Cody Gakpo ($7.0m) has a more favourable fixture at the same price, with Aleksandar Mitrovic ($7.0m) another option.</strong></p>

<h2>7. Wojciech Szczesney ($5.5m) &#8211; 17 points</h2>
<p>The only goalkeeper in the top 10, the Polish shot-stopper has yet to conceded a goal so far.</p>
<p>Szczesney&#8217;s points total was boosted by a penalty save in Matchday 2 against Saudi Arabia.</p>
<p>Poland face Argentina in Matchday 3, which will be the Juventus players&#8217; stiffest challenge so far.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict. Avoid &#8211; priced the same as Argentina&#8217;s Emiliano Martinez ($5.5m) who has a much greater chance of a clean sheet, according to the bookmakers&#8217; odds. Cheaper options elsewhere include Andries Noppert ($4.5m) of the Netherlands. </strong></p>
<h2>6. Bukayo Saka ($8.0m) &#8211; 17 points</h2>
<p>The Arsenal midfielder blanked in Matchday 2 against the USA, so all his good work came in England&#8217;s opener against Iran.</p>
<p>He scored two goals in that fixture for an impressive 15 points, making him the Three Lions&#8217; standout performer so far.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict. Proceed with caution. A good option on paper, however there are rumours manager Gareth Southgate plans to make a few changes against Wales, with Saka potentially one to drop to the bench despite his good form. </strong></p>
<h2>5. Mohammed Kudus ($6.0m) &#8211; 18 points</h2>
<p>The 22-year-old Ghanaian has emerged as one of the tournament&#8217;s young stars.</p>
<p>A lively Matchday 1 performance which saw him pick up an assist was outshone by a two-goal, 15 point haul against South Korea in Matchday 2.</p>
<p>At $6.0m, Kudus has offered fine value for backers so far.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict: Buy. Uruguay are last up for Ghana, which looks difficult on paper. The Black Stars however scored two against group leaders Portugal and there&#8217;s no reason they can&#8217;t score against Uruguay too, with a place in the last 16 on the line. At his price, Kudus is an excellent enabler. </strong></p>
<h2>4. Enner Valencia ($6.5m) &#8211; 19 points</h2>
<p>The man of the match on the opening day of the tournament, the veteran Ecuadorian is joint-top scorer with three goals.</p>
<p>He has though been forced off with a knee injury in both his group games so far, with the former West Ham man considered a doubt for Matchday 3.</p>
<p>His manager has indicated there is a chance he plays against Senegal, with Valencia reportedly desperate to feature.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict. Avoid. Valencia has undoubtedly been brilliant value so far but with looming concerns about his fitness &#8211; and expected minutes even if he does start &#8211; he&#8217;s not a player who shouts &#8216;buy&#8217;.</strong></p>
<h2>3. Romain Saiss ($4.5m) &#8211; 19 points</h2>
<p>A surprise inclusion in the top three, Saiss is owned by just 3% of managers.</p>
<p>Fresh from a 2-0 victory over Belgium, Morocco and Saiss are in great form going into Matchday 3.</p>
<p>Saiss scored a goal in that Matchday 2 victory, while he and Morocco kept a clean sheet in Matchday 1 too.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict. Consider. There is plenty of defensive options, including David Raum of Germany at the same price and the more attacking Joakim Maehle ($4.5m), however Morocco have a strong chance of a clean sheet against eliminated Canada, so Saiss could be a solid pick for a potential six-pointer. </strong></p>
<h2>2. Kylian Mbappe ($11.5m) &#8211; 22 points</h2>
<p>The best player of the tournament so far, Mbappe is level with Valencia on three goals.</p>
<p>He scored twice against Denmark in Matchday 2 &#8211; a fixture which many predicted would be a banana skin for the French &#8211; and opened his campaign with a goal and assist against Australia.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict. Buy/keep &#8211; but with a caveat. France have qualified for the knockout stages and are widely expected to rotate against Tunisia but if Mbappe does retain his place, a haul could well be on the cards. If investing, it is worth keeping in mind a transfer may be required to replace him.</strong></p>

<h2>1. Bruno Fernandes ($9.5m) &#8211; 23 points</h2>
<p>Top of the pile with two goals and two assists is Manchester United&#8217;s Portuguese Magnifico.</p>
<p>His first goal against Uruguay in Matchday 2 was slightly contentious, with <strong>Cristiano Ronaldo ($10.0m) </strong>initially credited it.</p>
<p>But as close as he came, it looked like Ronaldo didn&#8217;t make contact with Fernandes&#8217; cross, which crept into the corner of the net.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict. Avoid. Portugal are through and rotation roulette is a factor in Fernandes&#8217; case. Other premium midfielders&#8217; teams &#8211; like Jamal Musiala&#8217;s Germany &#8211; have it all to play for and are perhaps more attractive options in Matchday 3. </strong></p>
